NORTH LONDON ARTIST – Francoise Nicole
Franchoise Nichole grew up in North London and started off her creativity in the fashion world studying at The London College of Fashion.
She graduated from a BTEC in Art & Design and an HND in Fashion Design specialising in embroidery.
She’s also done short courses in fashion, photography and silk painting as well as a year in Printed Textiles at Middlesex University.
She loves using a wide range of techniques for her art mostly depending on her mood and how she sees the pieces coming together in her sketchbooks.
RECENT PROJECTS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
The image titled Brooklyn is a mixed media piece that was done as part of The Limited Edition Sketchbook Project for Art House Co-Op in New York. Her sketchbook is on display in the Brooklyn Art Library and this image was published in the book for this particular project (The Sketchbook Project Limited Edition – Volume 3;Thread and Surface).
Misconception and Misconception two are photos from her first London Exhibition at Curious Duke Gallery in April 2012 as part of their Misconception exhibition. Two of these silk screen prints were also exhibited there in July as part of their Art In Flux exhibition.
Amy is a mixed media collage of Amy Winehouse that was donated to the Amy Winehouse Foundation.
And the photograph titled Floral card is an example of her more illustrative side.
